Second Shift Foreman/Quality Job Description
The job duties of the Second Shift Foreman will generally be considered to encompass but not limited to the following:
Second Shift Foreman/Quality Job Purpose:
- The Second Shift Foreman will be involved with the planning, coordination, supervision and control of the Second Shift machining processes. The Second Shift Foreman will supervise subordinates on the shop floor, and assist subordinates in following prints and specifications to set-up machines such as milling machines and turning centers.
Second Shift Foreman/Quality Duties:
- To Supervise and assist all set-up machinist, shop machinist and operators to solve machining problems on an as needed basis;
- To monitor the production processes and adjust tooling and offsets as needed;
- To work with other managers to implement the companys policies and goals;
- To ensure that the health and safety guidelines are followed as set forth in the company handbook;
- To identify training needs and promote a highly motivated work environment;
- To perform periodic evaluations of subordinates;
- To give feedback to the Production Manager in regards to disciplinary issues:
- To follow prints and specifications to set-up machines such as mills and turning centers to very close tolerances and to operate these machines for precision work;
- To adjust the machining parameters such as clamping, offsets, feed and speed of cut during the initial set-up of machining jobs;
- To obtain digital photographs of each machining set-up and present them to the Shop Foreman on days so they can be attached in the ERP (E-2 system);
- To make sure that products are on time and are of good quality;
- To communicate with the 1st. shift management when repairs to equipment are needed.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
