The materials planner ensures that production schedules are met by purchasing the necessary materials. The person in materials planning monitors the performance of vendors to ensure continued quality and timely shipments. This position will have a large portion of supply base from overseas.
Responsibilities
Ensure customer releases are accurate.
Analyze releases to determine shipping schedules and estimates through ERP system.
Analyze requirements to determine production schedules and estimates through ERP.
Maintains and makes changes in the ERP system.
Order appropriate quantities of raw materials while working within our inventory goals. Including overseas supplier coordination.
Track finished goods, semi-finished goods components inventory levels.
Maintain and operate all divisional electronic data interchange (EDI) systems related to supplier and customer communications.
Maintain supplier rating system per customer requirements and Business Operating System.
Work closely with production teams to determine long term strategic plans in regards to inventory management, capacity utilization, and schedules.
Requirements:
2 to 5 years experience in a material planner role within the automotive industry required (preferably supplier to Ford/GM).
Experience in dealing with suppliers from overseas, including custom clearance.
MRP/ERP Systems experience required, preferably with Plexus ERP.
In-depth knowledge of MRP/ERP Systems, Material Flow Process, JIT, Lean, and Continuous Improvement.
Strong abilities in Microsoft Office suite.
Superior organizational skills to handle 700
product numbers.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
