Summary:
Responsible for providing tour prospects, signing up new members, selling personal and team training programs, growing membership and training revenue, following up with members on a regular basis, and delivering a personable gym experience.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Responds to customer, public, or media requests for information about wellness programs or services.
Sells memberships and training packages for the club.
Recruits, develops, and manages a personal training staff.
Manages trainer's schedules and calendar.
Communicates clearly and non-combatively.
Designs exercise programs for individuals based on need and goals.
Keeps exercise floor and offices clean and organized.
Talks to members and prospects on the phone.
Develops marketing campaigns to promote a healthy lifestyle or participation in fitness or wellness programs.
Maintains a Facebook accountability group for training program participants.
Runs reports and analyzes data.
Engages with community on promotion of health and fitness.
Provides individual support or counseling in general wellness or nutrition.
Maintains or arranges for maintenance of fitness equipment or facilities.
Teaches fitness training sessions to improve strength, flexibility, cardiovascular conditioning, or general fitness of participants.
Selects or supervises contractors, such as event hosts or health, fitness, and wellness practitioners.
Conducts or facilitates training sessions or seminars for wellness and fitness staff.
Uses computer skills and software to manage Web sites or databases, publish newsletters, or provide webinars.
Supervisory
Responsibilities:
Directly supervises 10 employees in the Personal Training Department.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Language Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, payroll systems, and contact management systems.
Education/
Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
