The Director of Nursing Services, with the direction of the Market Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) is responsible for the development and management of strategic and operational plans for the assigned areas. This leader of leaders coaches, mentors and inspires teams and colleagues to deliver excellence in clinical care and patient experience; manages human, financial and capital resources; collaboratively works with managers, physicians, other professionals and staff to implement and evaluate standards of patient care and organizational standards; communicates market operations, information and mission objectives to all staff; ensures proper education, training and development of all staff and nursing leaders; monitors job performance and competency.
Essential Functions:
Provides leadership and strategic oversight in assigned areas to ensure the achievement of the Mercy Health's mission and living of its values. Provides planning, direction, assessment and evaluation to ensure market competitiveness, effective 24-hour operations and adherence with the organization's mission, values, policies, procedures, goals and objectives. Ensures pateint expereince, employee engagement and retention plans are communicated and implemented across teams with measurable and successful outcomes Manages resources for their assigned areas in a manner consistent with the organizational plan. Directs, supervises, coordinates and administers clinical service activities for their division to ensure quality care on a 24 hour basis. Promotes growth and development of department staff and leaders Develops, monitors and evaluates quality of care and performance improvement programs. Serves as a clinical and leadership advisor, mentor and coach. Establishes productive working relationship with the Medical Staff and all ancillary departments. Other duties as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Ohio RN license required. ANCC approved certification preferred or must obtain in one year Five years administrative and supervisory experience in health care. Computer literacy Demonstrates effective and caring communication skills Has extensive knowledge (both depth and breadth) of the nursing field. Understands and integrates critical information. Applies knowledge across major functional areas to achieve MH strategic mission and influences results for Mercy Health.
Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
Nursing, Healthcare ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
